What does love truly mean to you?
Do you find it in the embrace of an old friend? Is it in the presence of partners enduring the challenges of marriage? Or perhaps, holding one's hand when there is nothing more to say but to give action? Do you find it in the first cries of your newborn child in your arms? Driving your mother to her chemotherapy appointments to support her during the process? Consoling those who are grieving from a lost loved one? Simply, is it the connection of a community gathering serving a higher purpose together? Or in a sit down family dinner sharing the mountains and valleys of their day?
Of course there is no one correct answer because life is not black and white. Love is not black and white, it is surrounded by us through our daily lives and within everything we see or feel. Through the hardships and challenges in this life that we are experiencing, there is always that one truth that remains to hold us together and allow us to push through. That one pure truth is always love.
So this is me. I am pleased to introduce myself to you all as the new creator of this blog in hopes of sharing stories and adventures that inspire me in daily life in which I see love around me. This concept endures all things, which has inspired the name for my blog (Love is...). It is with us in every stage of life and connects the world when all we can feel at times is negativity and fear in our current society.
My name is Gabrielle Romero, recently married this past June to the love of my life and living that newlywed life. I am also a full time occupational therapist in Southeast Michigan, a loving dog mom to an Australian Shepard, twin sister, and caring daughter to a set of two great parents in my life. Thank you for taking the time for reading my first post and I look forward to sharing more of my daily insights with you. Stay tuned fellow readers.
